Made Up provided bespoke fabrications and bars for Pernod Ricard’s Convivial Gin Evening held at Printworks in east London.
The private company event featured three bar areas created by Made Up, themed around Pernod Ricard’s Beefeater, Monkey 47 and Plymouth Gin brands.
For the Beefeater bar, our central London workshops built a walk-through archway bedecked with foliage and garnishes which guests could pluck from its walls and add to their drinks. Specially-created, branded, shelving units also offered fruits, botanicals and other herbs for the same purpose, giving guests the opportunity to see, feel and smell many intense and memorable flavours associated with the product.
The Plymouth Gin bar used maritime props, and coastal interior design tropes, to create a contemporary seaside feel. Reclaimed timber table tops evoked driftwood and beach combing, while plants in hanging glass globe terrariums offset the nautical flavour with a surprising, on-trend element.
Monkey 47 Dry Gin, a premium product, was represented by a very quirky experiential serving station. A small room tucked away in a remote area of the venue served customers their chosen drink, seemingly handed through a hatch in a monkey’s paw. Unlike the other bars at the evening, the Monkey 47 offering was completely unannounced and intended for guests to discover.
Furniture for the event as a whole was specially sourced to complement Printworks’ industrial heritage.
